Mustard Algae Treatment Kit

This kit contains the two essential elements for the effective and permanent treatment of mustard algae. This kit treats up to 50m³ of pool water.

The treatment kit contains:

• a shock treatment (calcium hypochlorite solution)
• an algaecide specifically formulated for mustard algae

What is mustard algae?

It's important to know that the infamous yellow algae called "mustard algae" is particularly difficult to treat and identify. It settles on the bottom or sides of the pool and detaches from the pool floor when you vacuum, appearing as a cloud or "dark yellow cloud" of dust or sand. This algae is likely to return after treatment. Mustard algae originate from the environment, very often from hot winds and rains coming from the Sahara. The bacteria cling to dust particles, are carried by the wind and rain, and then, once in the water, multiply. Pools can be contaminated by geographic area, and it's rare to find an isolated case.

So, if one pool is contaminated, it's likely your neighbor's is too!

For effective treatment, remember to:

Remove and brush the back of the pool light, a veritable "nest" for algae.

During the treatment phase, immerse all accessories that were in contact with the algae-contaminated water, such as toys, inflatable mattresses, nets, thermometers, robots, and pool covers.

This product does not contain sodium bromide (a hazardous substance that can harm fertility and/or the health of the fetus).
