Wintering floats or wintering buoys allow you to protect your pool equipment during the winter period (low temperatures).
The weighted floats absorb any ice thrust (increase in water volume) and thus serve as a buffer between the frozen water and the walls of your pool.
Frozen water exerts a strong pressure on the walls and can cause major damage (cracks appear on rigid pools such as polyester shells or concrete pools).
The floats absorb the increases in volume of the ice and thus preserve the structure of your pool from the effects of frost.

Instructions for use of wintering pool floats:
The number of floats to assemble depends on the dimensions of your pool.
For rectangular pools, the floats must be positioned on the diagonal of your pool. For round or oval pools, the floats are arranged along the length.
For very cold regions, it is recommended to place the floats along the length and width of the pool.
How to calculate the diagonal of your pool?
Diagonal = ? (Length2 + Width2)
For example, for a 8 x 4 m pool: ? (Length2 + Width2) = ? (82 + 42) = ? (64 + 16) = ?80 = 8.94 m. You will therefore need at least 18 floats of 0.50 m.
The floats are partially submerged. The 2 floats at the ends are fixed to the outside of the pool. The assembly of the floats is very simple and is done using hooks (provided).
