The sand filter is one of the most widespread filtration systems. Easy to use, it is particularly recommended for beginners and pools with high traffic.

Distributed by a diffuser, the water passes from top to bottom through a bed made of sand specially calibrated for filtration. This sand meets precise characteristics and retains impurities. The water is collected at the bottom by the strainers and returns to the pool by passing through the valve again. To evacuate the debris contained in the sand, the direction of water circulation is reversed to bring the impurities up and send them to the drain, this is called backwashing.
