DECA11 Filter Cartridge

Available for all types of configurations, the cartridge filter guarantees exemplary water quality with minimal space requirements.

Unlike sand filters, a cartridge filter retains even the finest particles suspended in the water, and therefore does not require the use of flocculant-type additives.

It offers very fine filtration, between 15 and 20 microns. Furthermore, the reinforced polyester cartridge ensures optimal lifespan of the filter elements, for worry-free use throughout the year. Environmentally friendly, it is cleaned with a hose, requiring no backwashing and therefore no discharge of pool water into the sewer.

When and Why Clean a Cartridge Filter?

Like any type of pool filter, a cartridge filter gets clogged as it filters and collects dirt from the pool water. The more clogged it becomes, the less effective the filtration. During the pool's operating season, this type of filter requires 1 to 3 backwashes per week, depending on usage and the pool's exposure to the elements.
When you notice that the water is no longer being drawn in properly (the water seems to stagnate in the skimmer) or, worse, that the suction hose tends to get pinched even though you have regularly cleaned the filter, it's time to replace it.

Hard water? You must use a water hardness stabilizer: Calcinex Pool. Cleaning with a garden hose will remove larger debris (organic matter, hair).

To remove limescale, iron, and other mineral deposits from the filter, it is recommended to soak the cartridge in a solution of "Filtercleaner" or "Decalcit Filter." Let it soak for at least one hour.

Always rinse the cartridge with a jet of water before putting it back in the filter!
